About us

Who we are

Germany’s most renowned group of leading user companies

The Digital Excellence Circle (DEX Circle) is an active network of renowned social and digital media experts and pioneers in the digital industry from both Germany and abroad. Its mission is to promote the professionalization of Social and Digital Media Management in practice and achieve "digital leadership".

The members who take a "Digital by Design" approach to Social and Digital Media Management meet at least twice a year to openly discuss digital topics, share their knowledge and experiences, and offer corresponding counseling and seminars as an additional service. By frequently sharing knowledge and experiences, the members of the Digital Excellence Circle continuously enhance the various approaches and tools that enable companies to turn digital challenges into competitive advantages across industries.

Goals

The "Social and Digital Business Link" approach does not see the need for colorful Facebook pages but rather the economical use of social and digital media along the entire value chain of a company. This involves the successful development of the company, from its strategy to organization and general measures, which goes hand-in-hand with Business Transformation and Change Management.

The Digital Excellence Circle offers companies a holistic solution to help them transform digitally and adapt into a social business, from cooperation (exchanging experiences and transfer of knowledge) to consulting (strategy, benchmarking, and implementation).

Executive Board

The task of the executive board is to develop both the content and form of the DEX Circle further and subsequently establish a framework. Founders and sponsors of the DEX Circle include Prof. Dr. Peter Gentsch (University of Applied Sciences Aalen), Albert Brenner (diva-e Digital Transformation Consulting), Andreas Bock (Chefkoch.de), Christian Maybaum (Deutsche Post DHL Group), and Daniel Backhaus (formerly Deutsche Bahn).
